1992: Formula Junior

Ralf Schumacher participates in the 1992 German Kart Championship and also partakes in his first race in a monoposto. ADAC Formula Junior sets the stage for his first official outing in a race car and sensationally he finishes his debut race in an awesome 2nd place. 2nd place is also the final championship position at the end of the year in the Kart Championship.

1993: Formula Junior and Formula 3

1993 marks the year in which Ralf disputes his first complete season in the ADAC Formula Junior Championship. He proves his talent by ending up in the runner-up spot at the end of the year in the championship. His then manager Willi Weber was so impressed by his skills that he decided to reward Ralf with his first tests in a Formula 3 car and he also had his first outing in a Formula 3 race in Willi Weber’s F3 Team (WTS).

1994: German Formula 3 Championship

His first complete season in the German F3 Championship was in 1994, and Ralf could stand his ground in what was the most competitive F3 championship in Europe. At the end of the year he finished in 3rd position, beaten only by the much more experienced competitors Joerg Mueller and Alexander Wurz.
